Police Urging Motorcycle Safety After Another Collision

Police are reminding all motorists to be safe on the roads, especially around motorcycles.

This comes after yet another motorcycle collision last week on Highway 60 in North Algona Wilberforce. Killaloe OPP says a 66-year-old man was taken to hospital after a collision between his motorcycle and a truck last Monday just before 11:00am.

Killaloe OPP Constable Catherine Yarmel says it’s important to always wear a helmet as well as other protective gear when riding a motorcycle. She also says it’s crucial that motorcycle drivers never assume another motorist can see them.

This is the third motorcycle collision in August in Renfrew County after fatal crashes in Killaloe and Cobden earlier this month. The man involved in the Highway 60 crash suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
