Military Police Regiment Hosting Child Identification Clinic

A chance to get your child’s ID done for free is coming up next week in Petawawa.

The 2nd Military Police Regiment is hosting the ID clinic next Saturday, which will see data collected on your child in case of an emergency. The clinic consists of five major components including height, weight, oral DNA swab, fingerprints, as well as photos and videos.

The information is entered onto a data sheet and then burned onto a CD, which can then be used in case of an emergency. The police regiment says that while they hope they never have to be used, this information could be used to assist in situations like Amber Alerts.

The clinic is completely free and runs from 10:00am to 3:30pm on September 8th at Dundonald Hall in CFB Petawawa. For more information, click here.
