Lane Restrictions As Simpson Pit Road Construction Begins Next Week

Starting next week, you may have some slowdowns on Simpson Pit Road.

That’s because County of Renfrew Public Works crews will be working to rehabilitate a stretch of the road from Highway 60 to Scenic Road in Killaloe. The works department says the project will begin August 20^th and run for about four weeks, with one lane of traffic being closed.

In 2017 Simpson Pit Road was closed for an extended period of time because of culvert repairs as a result of spring flooding, however this project is unrelated. Simpson Pit Road serves as a throughway from Highway 60 to Round Lake Centre.
