Blood Donor Clinic In Pembroke Looking For Strong Turnout

A blood donor clinic in Pembroke is looking for a big turnout.

That’s according to Canadian Blood Services Territory Manager Mary Ann St. Michael, who says the goal for the clinic is 120 unit of blood.

While it is a big goal, St. Michael says a lot of spots have already been filled.

St. Michael says Canadian Blood Services has issued an urgent need for donors in the Ottawa Valley because of a slow summer for blood donations.

St. Michael says it’s preferred if you make your appointment online instead of at the clinic location, just to ensure everyone gets in when their appointments are made. Today’s clinic runs Tuesday from 1:00pm to 4:00pm, and then again at 5:30pm to 7:30pm at the Germania Club in Pembroke.
