Upper Ottawa Valley OPP have charged a pair of drivers with impaired driving.

The first incident came the night of July 31st when an officer pulled a man over for having a suspended license on Church Street in Pembroke. When police pulled the man over, officers say he failed a roadside screening test. As a result, the 37-year-old man is now facing impaired driving charges.

The second incident came on August 1st just after midnight. Police had received a call about a possible impaired driver in Laurentian Valley. Police had pulled over a 20-year-old Pembroke man who was believed to be under the influence. According to police, the man was arrested after refusing to provide a breath sample and was charged.

Both drivers had their licenses suspended for 90 days and vehicles towed. They will both appear in a Pembroke court in September.
