$25,000 A Year For Life Winning Ticket Goes Unclaimed

One year ago, someone in Pembroke bought a winning lottery ticket worth $25,000 a year.

However, that prize will never be awarded. That’s according to OLG, which says prize winners have one year to claim their prize before the ticket expires. The winning Daily Grand ticket in Pembroke was eligible to claim until August 7th.

According to OLG Senior Manager of Media Relations Tony Bitonti, the ticket was never claimed by whoever won it. Bitonti says the prize money will be returned to future players through bonus games or promotions.

However luck in Renfrew County has been up for lottery tickets in the past year, with six major winners since November.
