Skills Link program helps bring jobs to Barry’s Bay area
An employment program funded through the federal government has helped bring jobs to the Barry’s Bay area.
Through Access Work Service, the Skills Link program provides training, certifications and placements for those who are facing employment barriers in our community. Participants completed placements in places like: Barry’s Bay, Combermere, Palmer Rapids and Bancroft. The eight graduates from this year’s program were honoured at a ceremony at Activities+ on November 18th.
Program Coordinator Elserlee Archer says the program lets workers explore their interests and strengths.
