Police have charged the driver of a tractor trailer after a single-vehicle collision in Laurentian Valley.

Upper Ottawa Valley OPP says it responded to the call just before 3:00am Wednesday morning after the truck left the road on Forest Lea Road. According to police, the truck went through guard posts and eventually stopped at the bottom of a hill. The Ministry of Environment was called to the scene as well after the truck leaked both fuel and paint.

As a result, police say the 40-year-old Quebec man driving the truck was brought to hospital and is charged with careless driving.
