Municipal election information session Thursday in Barry’s Bay

Residents interested in running for municipal office this fall will have a chance to learn about the election tonight.

That’s because an information session is being held for both candidates and third party advertisers. The workshop is being held for residents of Madawaska Valley, Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards, and Brudenell, Lyndoch and Raglan. It’s free to attend, and will give information about nominations and eligibility, as well as general campaigning rules and election finances.

The workshop starts at 6:30pm Thursday night at the Paul J. Yakabuski Community Centre in Barry’s Bay. The deadline to file election nomination papers is July 27^th.

The municipal election is October 22^nd.
