If you’re looking to get a fire permit in Madawaska Valley, you might have to wait a little longer.
That’s according to Fire Chief Corwin Quade, who says fire permits won’t be issued effective immediately. He says that the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry has the forest fire danger level at ‘high’ right now, which is a factor in the decision. Quade also says that all current permits are also suspended until further notice.
Thursday brings a slight chance of showers with the risk of a thunderstorm in the afternoon, according to Environment Canada.
