For over three decades the Madawaska Valley Artisan Festival has been a tradition in the summer, and 2018 will be no different.
That’s according to Madawaska Valley Chief Administrative Officer Sue Klatt, who says it’s important to have continuity for both visitors to the area and artisans that look forward to the event every year. She feels it’s a great chance for residents and tourists to see some vendors that they might not see any other times of the year because of their location.
Klatt says Council is supportive of volunteers planning the event, and says that some councillors will be volunteering their time as well with the festival. She says money had been budgeted for it and told her about the event’s importance to the community.
This year’s Artisan Festival is on July 14th at the Railway Station Tourism Centre in Barry’s Bay. If you’re a vendor and would like to take part in the this year, you should e-mail Kelly Klinck by June 29th at [email protected].
