Police in Whitewater Township are searching for a missing swimming.
Upper Ottawa Valley OPP says two swimmers from Petawawa had gone into the Ottawa River Friday evening. Police say one of the swimmers managed to get out of the rapids while the other, a 20-year-old man, never got back to shore.
Police say a search was carried out over the weekend that included paramedics, firefighters and helicopters with infrared technology. Anyone with any information are being urged to contact Upper Ottawa Valley OPP.
