Starting tonight, people will be walking to support the fight against cancer.
Relay for Life Renfrew County kicks off tonight at the Pembroke Memorial Centre. Funds are raised by participants, and the Canadian Cancer Society says in Renfrew County nearly $60,000 has been raised so far.
The relay begins at 6:00pm tonight and will run until midnight and is one of over 400 events being put on Canada-wide by the Canadian Cancer Society. The society says over $25-million has been raised by over 110,000 participants across the country.
