While a new memorandum of understanding hasn’t been reached between the Lakeshore Tennis Club and the Madawaska Valley Township, residents can now buy memberships.

The decision was announced Monday night at council that memberships could be purchased by members of the public for the 2017 rate, which ranges from $42 to $120.

While the two sides are still working on a memorandum of understanding, council said it had received concerns from members of the public about the tennis courts not being available.

Any new members to the tennis club will be given keys for access, while renewing members will be able to use their 2017 key to use the facilities.

You can buy tennis club memberships at the Township Offices located at 85 Bay Street in Barry’s Bay. All membership proceeds go towards funding further repairs and programming at the Lakeshore Tennis Club.
