If you own a farm in Renfrew County, you could host a worldwide expo.

That’s because the County of Renfrew has been asked by the Ontario Plowmen’s Association to consider hosting an International Plowing Match and Rural Expo in the future.

The county hosted the IPM in 1994 and attracted more than 100,000 visitors and generated over half a million dollars, which was used for 911 services in the area. The IPM showcases

To host the event, more than 800 acres of fields are required for tents, displays and vendors. The county says any property owners interested are encouraged to talk to their neighbours to create enough acreage. The county would be hosting the event in 2020, and would need responses from interested land owners by July 6th.

If you’re interested in hosting the IPM, you can contact County of Renfrew Business Development Coordinator David Wybou at 613-735-0091 ext. 432 or at [email protected].
