The Madawaska Valley Food Bank is focusing on giving its clients nutritious food this holiday season.
The food bank services roughly one-hundred people in Barry’s Bay, Madawaska, Combermere, Palmer Rapids and Wilno year-round.
Team Leader Christine Thompson says usage at the food bank increases slightly in the fall and winter. She says this year’s numbers are similar to last year.
The food bank operates out of Barry’s Bay twice per month. Donations from people in the community and local organizations help the food bank continue to help those living in the area. Donations can be dropped off at the Vintage Shoppe.
