Hastings, Lennox and Addington MP wants to see more accessibility in the area

Hastings, Lennox and Addington MP Mike Bossio is urging local businesses and organizations alike to make their workplaces more accessible.

That’s why he’s encouraging local businesses to submit applications for Accessibility Funding, which could see up to $100,000 in funding given for projects that improve accessibility and safety for people with disabilities.

Bossio says funding like this could really help small businesses in rural areas.

In addition to the small projects component of accessibility funding, there’s also a chance for youth volunteers to make their communities more accessible. This is something Bossio says is important to learn at a young age.
