An inquest will be held into the death of a construction worker in Renfrew County.

Regional Supervising Coroner for East Region Dr. Louise McNaughton-Filion says the date has been scheduled for the inquest into the death of Danniel William Milton.

Milton was 42 when he was hit by a vehicle on April 25th, 2016 while working at a highway construction project in the county. McNaughton-Filion says the inquest will examine the events surrounding Milton’s death and the jury may make recommendations aimed at preventing similar deaths. The inquest will begin on September 17th at the Renfrew Municipal Building. Dr. Robert Reddoch will preside as inquest coroner. It’s expected to last three days and include about nine witnesses.
