Memory Café a success in Barry’s Bay
Our local Alzheimer Society is pleased with the number of participants in a new program helping to connect dementia patients and their caregivers with others.
The Alzheimer Society of Ottawa and Renfrew County says it saw a solid turnout for its first two Memory Cafés in Barry’s Bay this fall.
Manager of Programs for Renfrew County Tracey Liebig says it’s about giving caregivers the tools they need to be able to best care for their loved ones.
Two more Memory Cafés are planned for May and June at the Opeongo Seniors Centre. For details, click here.
