People will soon be walking in support of the fight against cancer.
Relay for Life in Renfrew County is set to run on Friday, June 22nd starting at 6:00pm. Funds are raised by participants and the Canadian Cancer Society says more than $25 million has been raised so far. It also says that more than 110,000 people participate nationwide in various Relay for Life events across the country.
According to the website for the upcoming event in Pembroke at the Memorial Centre, more than $38,000 has been raised online alone. You can learn more by going here.
