Results released from Canada Road Safety Week blitz

Killaloe OPP has released results from a Canada Road Safety Week Blitz.

Between May 15th and 21st, police forces across the country cracked down on the big four driving offences including impaired, distracted and aggressive driving, as well as seatbelt violations. During the week and long weekend, police were highly visible on OPP-maintained roads throughout the detachment area.

Over the week-long campaign, Killaloe OPP laid 114 speeding charges, two careless driving charges, one prohibited driving charge and a three-day alcohol-related license suspension.

Police remind you if you see another driver that you think is impaired, you should contact police and try to take a note of where the vehicle is travelling, as well as a description of the car and if possible, the plate number.
