Algonquin College is partnering with Renfrew County to bring more personal support workers to the area.
The partnership sees a PSW program being offered at Bonnechere Manor in Renfrew for Algonquin College students.
Shelley Sheedy, Director of Long-term Care for the county, says this real-world experience will help students as they learn.

However, Sheedy also says this doesn’t mean the PSW program will be exclusive to the manor.
Sheedy says that with such a quick turnaround with a shortened program, lots of long-term care homes in Renfrew County will benefit as a result.
