Two drivers in Laurentian Valley facing stunt driving charges

Police have charged a pair of drivers with stunt driving in Laurentian Valley as part of Canada Road Safety Week.

The first incident was Wednesday afternoon on Highway 17 after a driver was accused of going 142 kilometres an hour in a 90 zone. The second, about an hour later, saw another driver on Highway 17 accused of going 170 kilometres an hour in a 90 zone.

Police say both drivers have had their licenses suspended and vehicles impounded for seven days.

During Canada Road Safety Week, police are focusing on impaired, distracted and aggressive driving as well as seatbelt violations across Canada.
