Madawaska Valley has its new CAO/Clerk.
The announcement was made during Monday evening’s council meeting by Mayor Kim Love. Sue Klatt, formerly CAO/Clerk for Horton Township, will take over the role later this month.
With budget workshops looming, Love says the timing couldn’t have been any better.
In addition to formerly serving Horton Township as the CAO/Clerk, Klatt has also held the role with South Algonquin and also worked for Madawaska Valley as an Administrative Assistant, Asset Management Clerk and Community Emergency Management Coordinator.
Love says that finding someone local for the job was an added perk.
Love says it’s also great to have someone with experience in the position as the Township prepares for the upcoming municipal elections in October.
