Quade: Minor Flooding Possible, Nothing Major

No major flooding is expected in Madawaska Valley following the recent rainfall.

That’s according to Madawaska Valley Fire Chief Corwin Quade, who is also part of Renfrew County’s Emergency Management.

Quade says that there could be some minor flooding, but nothing like last spring.

Quade also says that the township and county both have great relationships with companies like Ontario Power Generation and stay in touch if there is a risk of flood.

OPG says the water levels in Bark Lake are about three metres lower than they were at this time last year.
