Two students at Madawaska Valley District High School will be getting some financial help after graduating.

That’s because an annual bursary has been funded by Madawaska Valley Council that will see two students at MVDHS receiving $250.

MVDHS Head of Guidance Margaret Cruchet says these bursaries can make a huge difference for students with financial need.

Cruchet says that while all students are eligible, they will need to apply to be considered.

Cruchet says while a scholarship is based on academic standing and grades, a bursary is based more on financial need of the student.

Scholarships and bursaries will be presented on June 28th during the school’s graduation ceremonies.
