The fourth curbside ash pickup of the winter in the Madawaska Valley is coming on Thursday.

Pickups started in November and will run once a month until April. After being picked up, Operations Manager Hilary Kutchkoskie says they’re brought to landfill sites and used as top covers to prevent things like birds scavenging.

You’re reminded to have ashes on the curb by 6:00am to ensure they’re picked up, and to make sure they’re fully extinguished.

The next and final curbside ash pickup of winter after Thursday will be April 26th.
