Police are warning residents about a potential mail scam circulating.
Renfrew OPP says they received a complaint last Monday from a resident in White Lake that claims to be from the Canada Revenue Agency. According to police, the letter looks like it has poor quality photo copying. The letter also includes personal information and asks for more.
Police say that no financial loss occurred and that the CRA has been contacted. You’re urged report scams to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.
