Severe thunderstorm watch issued in Madawaska Valley

Severe thunderstorms could be on the way to the Madawaska Valley area this afternoon and early this evening.

Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for the area, which could also bring strong winds and large hail.

You are being reminded to take cover if threatening weather approaches.

Environment Canada also says severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes.
