If you want to try your hand at fishing in the Madawaska Valley this week, you can do it for free.
The province says you won’t need a licence to go fishing anywhere in Ontario from Canada Day to July 9th.
You do have to follow the rules and stick to the daily limits to help protect the province’s fish population.
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry has also released a map to show the best places to fish in the area.
