Township Partnering with Horticultural Society for Tree Planting at Lakeshore Park

The Township of Madawaska Valley is teaming up with its Horticultural Society for a tree planting initiative in Lakeshore Park.

You can purchase a Colorado Spruce and a plaque to be planted this weekend.

Recreation and Community Development Coordinator Paul Nopper says the planting ceremony is part of special Canada 150 events.

He says the tree will be planted around the water treatment facility at the Barry’s Bay wharf.

The township and Horticultural Society will be planting on Saturday.
