Water flows and levels are dropping in Bark Lake
OPG says they are down slightly over yesterday.
That’s according to Hastings Highlands Operations Manager Adrian Tomasini, who says OPG is expected to let less water flow through the Bark Lake Dam because of increased capacity in the waterway.
Tomasini says everything seems to be in good shape in Hastings Highlands, but some minor repairs are needed.
The Township of Madawaska Valley had said water levels on Lake Kamaniskeg and the Madawaska River system were expected to continue to rise today.
Townships throughout the region have made sand and sandbags available upon request for anyone affected by flooding.
