Even though the Township of Madawaska Valley did not receive funding for its Lakeshore Drive Rehabilitation, staff and council are keeping an open mind.
The township will be looking for feedback from the province regarding its application to the Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund.
The project would have addressed draining and erosion issues, a repaving of the wharf’s roads and parking lots and aim to improve safety with new walking areas.
The good news however, is the fund will be increased to $200 million for rural communities by 2019.
