A false alarm at CFB Petawawa triggered an evacuation yesterday after staff found a suspicious package in the garrison’s post office.
Local and military police alongside firefighters helped to evacuate and ensure safety while the package was being assessed.
Local authorities say the investigation showed it to be car parts and no one was hurt in the evacuation.
