Province Invests into 100 Jobs at Eganville Mill

The province is investing four-million dollars over five years into local jobs in Eganville.

The investment will be going into over 100 jobs at the town’s local sawmill, looking to create as many as 18 new positions.

The Lavern Heidman & Sons mill is the first recipient of Ontario’s Forestry Growth Fund.

The investments will be made across the province to support innovation, production, application of modern technology and sustainability.

Ontario’s forestry sector represents $11 billion of economic activity and upwards of 170,000 jobs across the province.
