In order to create a safer community, North Hastings Children Services has received a $70,000 grant from the provincial government.
The funding is part of the Safer and Vital Community Grant.
Executive Director of NHCS Jessica Anderson says local organizations will come together to create a North Hastings Family Support Team to help residents lead safe and happy lives.
Anderson says the focus of the support team will be to work proactively to prevent family violence in North Hastings.
